Cost

​Airfares & Accommodation
  • International economy class airfares to Port Moresby from Brisbane (7kg carry on + 17kg checked luggage)
  • PNG domestic flight from Port Moresby to Popondetta in DASH aircraft
  • Pre-paid departure taxes from Australia and PNG
  • Airport/accommodation transfers in PNG
  • Package travel insurance (individual coverage subject to approval)
  • Twin share accommodation in Port Moresby
  • Adventure accommodation - guesthouses/tents (twin share)
  • eXtreme Cuisine (TM) nutritionally balanced, energy appropriate trekking meals and snacks
  • We provide all trek meals, including breakfast, lunch and dinner whilst on the track.  Breakfast and evening meals are supplemented with local fresh vegetables and fruit, when available. We also cater for special dietary requirements at no extra cost.

  • Subject to accessibility, GPS Spot tracking updates which enables family and friends to follow your journey along the Kokoda Track.  This can also be used for our Maritime Warrior supporters to track the team.

he following personal items and expenses are not included in this package.

  • Airline charges for excess baggage - limit of 17kg personal luggage allowed

Medical Expenses
  • Pre trek preparation and associated medical costs (including, but not limited to
    obtaining medical clearance, required prior to commencing the training program)
  • Malarial medication and any prescription medications recommended by your doctor

Port Moresby / Hotel meals
  • Guests staying at the Gateway Hotel can pre-book meal packages being a buffet-style dinner (first night of trip) & 2 x Continental breakfasts (first and last morning of trip).  
  • If you don't pre book there are a number of food venders within the confines of the hotel facility to cater for all budgets.  
  • The final night we've been invited by Aaron who's the GM of the Royal Papua Yacht Club for an expat dinning experience.
  • There are a number of food venders on either side of customs on departure.

Other Expenses:
  • We recommend trekkers take approximately $150-$200AUD to exchange on arrival in Port Moresby for incidentals which are not included in the package. For example
  • Subject to availability, additional fresh fruit and drinks can be purchased from local villagers along the track, if desired
  • Handmade crafts and souvenirs can also be purchased from numerous villages along the track

​Note: a comprehensive equipment checklist is provided to participants, upon receipt of the deposit and prior to commencing the training program.
